If you find an abandoned duckling...
Most Important...Please keep the duckling warm!!!  Place them in a small box lined with a clean towel.  Place some form of heat under the box.  For example, a heating pad on low, hot hands packet, or a sock filled with rice and microwaved for a few seconds.  Ducklings cannot produce their own heat.  Being cold is the worst thing for them.
They only need the lid of a jar with water in it.  If they get wet and can not dry or get warm, they will get too cold and not survive.  For food, you can give them oatmeal or frozen peas.  They are tiny, so they only need a few oats and/or peas.  (thaw the peas, and remove the hull, then mush up the peas).  Place the oats or mushy peas in the lid of water.
